[Boat Specifications] The boat featured in this report is a 2000 Nissan Wing Fisher 23 (23 feet). Although it is a compact 23-foot fishing boat, its fishing capabilities and sense of spaciousness are on par with boats in a higher class. Packed with features that will delight boat fishing enthusiasts, it boasts one of the largest cockpits in its class, ample storage space, a stylish exterior, and a user-friendly deck layout. This boat features a full walk-around design that allows for easy movement on the deck. It also includes a dedicated storage compartment for the anchor in the bow. Above all, I believe this boat is ideal for drift fishing. The hull shows no scratches or stains, and despite being 26 years old, I consider it to be in excellent condition. Since the boat was moored, I was unable to inspect the condition of the hull; there may be some barnacle growth, but I was told the hull was painted in April Reiwa 8. [Engine] Main Engine: Suzuki 4-stroke gasoline engine, 115 horsepower × 1 (outboard) Operating Hours: Approx. 1,160 hours Cruising Speed: Approx. 15–16 knots Top Speed: Approx. 22–23 knots I took a test drive during the inspection and was shown its cruising and top speeds. The engine is reportedly running smoothly and has no issues at this time. Since the boat is still in active use, the operating hours are likely to increase. Engine Maintenance History: In April Reiwa 8, the engine oil and oil filter were reportedly replaced. [Interior Condition] The bow berth offers ample space and can be used for napping or storage. The boat is equipped with a marine toilet (electric), which is essential for families and others. [Around the Helm] The cockpit features a functional layout with the fishfinder and gauges thoughtfully arranged. A ROIYAL (RF-800NFDⅢ) GPS fishfinder is mounted on the front of the panel, offering good visibility and making the boat easy to operate. There is storage space under the helm seat. The hour meter shows the cumulative hours from before the current outboard motor was installed; reportedly, the current engine was installed when the previous outboard had logged approximately 2,114 hours. 【Aft Deck】 Although not particularly spacious, there is enough room for two people to fish, and the walk-around design allows for easy movement between the front and aft sections. A livewell is installed in the center of the aft deck. It’s equipped with a deck awning, which is very convenient for sheltering from the hot summer sun.
