SUEMITSU SHIPYARD FISHING VESSEL Used Motor Boats for Sale in Japan

This boat was built by Suemitsu Shipyard (Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture), a local shipyard that specializes exclusively in registering fishing vessels. It appears to be an ideal workboat for fishing and aquaculture. Although it was launched as a new build on October 7, Heisei 5, so it may look a bit old, the engine—the heart of the vessel—underwent a full overhaul at 11,000 hours. Additionally, the owner, who graduated from a technical school and is skilled at maintenance, appears to perform oil changes and other consumable replacements every six months, in conjunction with the hull painting.It has been in use for about 2,000 hours since the overhaul. The hour meter appears to have recently broken, so records are kept manually from that point onward. (The tachometer is still functioning.) In September 2025, a full overhaul of the oil cooler, intercooler, and freshwater cooler was performed, and maintenance was also carried out on the exhaust system (from the engine to the stack). In September 2026, the hydraulic cylinder for the rudder was replaced with a new one, and in October, the alternator was replaced. Just as the owner was about to start fishing, he came across a boat slightly larger than this one and decided he wanted to switch to it. Since the boat is still in use, the engine started right up during our visit, idled smoothly, and appeared to be in good working order. The battery warning light on the instrument panel remains on, but it appears there’s a fault somewhere in the wiring, so the owner has deliberately disconnected it. Connecting it again seems to cause the battery to malfunction. The two Hondex fishfinders shown in the photo will be removed.There are also two winches at the bow; one at the very front will be removed. Additionally, the owner has requested that the light attached to the awning be removed, as they wish to use it elsewhere. Since the fishfinders and other equipment will be removed, we are offering the hull at a reduced price. Please be sure to take a test drive or come see the boat in person to confirm the details. The owner mentioned that the hull will be cleaned soon.
